15 Add-in for Chocolate Chip Cookies

Published: Feb 26, 2019 · Modified: May 23, 2019 by Sophie Mackenzie · This post may contain affiliate links · Leave a Comment

Chocolate chip cookies are my all time favourite mid-week treat (especially this chocolate chip cookie recipe). I love having them on hand for company visits, packing them in work lunches, and maybe sneaking one mid-morning with a cup of coffee :) Although chocolate chip cookies clearly stand up on their own, I sometimes like to toss in a few extra fancy add-ins to make the everyday cookie something much more extraordinary.  Because why not?

99% of the time I’ll toss in a handful of nuts, maybe some different varieties of chocolate, and garnish with flakey sea salt. Always flakey sea salt. What’s your favourite?

These are my favouritre chocolate chip cookie add-ins, however this is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to flavour you can add. I like to use up to three of these add-ins, but feel free to use as many as you like. Similarly, you can just add one and end up with a great cookie.
