Cheese Tea Biscuit Recipe
Ask any Maritimer and they’ll tell you – tea biscuits are a staple of life on the East Coast of Canada. Tea biscuits remind of of our grandparents, our parents, and our siblings. We can look back and picture ourselves gathered at the table with the people we love, a basket of warm tea biscuits fresh out of the oven between us. Sometimes we add cheese to our tea biscuits, but most often we make them plain, served warm and buttered, drizzled with thick, sticky molasses. Tea biscuits are great to keep in your back pocket (or your freezer) in case company pops in, you’re having soup for lunch, or you just want a quick snack with a cup of tea. Versatile and simple, you just can’t beat a good tea biscuit recipe.
