DIY pumpkin pie spice, or Hawaij, with just 5 ingredients! This version includes cardamom for a floral, unexpected twist on the seasonal staple.
- 3 tablespoons cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon cardamom
- 1 teaspoon cloves
- If using whole spices, grind in a mortal and pestle or finely grate to get the desired amount.
- If using ground spices, add all of the ingredients to a small container and mix until combined. Seal and store for up to one month in a cool, dry place.
